Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff's wife Susie Wolff claimed that Lewis Hamilton worked "incredibly hard" off the track before heading to the race weekends as she broke one of the misconceptions surrounding the driver. The Brit is statistically the most successful driver in F1 history with 105 wins and 104 pole positions alongside his record-equaling seven world championships.
He has enjoyed a dominant period with the German brand under the leadership of Toto Wolff which saw him win six of his seven driver's titles from 2014 to 2020. Given his popularity and personality, the Mercedes driver is a busy man as he often travels across the globe to keep up with his business ventures in entertainment and fashion, apart from racing.
Due to his packed schedule, many have presumed that Lewis Hamilton just 'rocks up' to an F1 weekend and delivers on the track. But while appearing on the Red Flags podcast, Susie Wolff, who had competed with the 39-year-old in their junior days, said:
