Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark was full of praise for forward Shane Pinto after the 24-year-old scored his first two goals in 16 games during Ottawa's 3-0 shutout victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday night.
Shane Pinto, who signed a two-year, $7.5 million contract in the offseason with a $3.75 million cap hit, had been stuck in a lengthy scoring drought before breaking through against Carolina at PNC Arena.
After the game, Linus Ullmark spoke highly of Pinto's performance.
"It's well deserved. It's been brewing for a very long time," Ullmark said via TSN. "He's been putting down the work and they offered every single game blocking shots, winning crucial faceoffs, and today he got two goals out of it."
