Liverpool suffer blow in pursuit of ex-Chelsea star

Liverpool have reportedly suffered a blow in their pursuit of former Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic. They are looking to sign him in the summer next year but the American is keen on staying at AC Milan.

Pulisic spent over four years at Chelsea after joining them from Borussia Dortmund in 2019. He made 145 appearances for them, scoring 26 goals and providing 19 assists. However, he fell down in the pecking order towards the end of his stint at Stamford Bridge and joined AC Milan in the summer of 2023.

Pulisic's contract with the Rossoneri is set to expire in 2027 and as per Calciomercato (via The Hard Tackle), Liverpool are interested in signing him. However, the American forward wants to stay with the Italian giants. Milan are also keen to keep him and are set to offer him a new contract. It will see his wages rise from €4 million to €5 million per year.
