Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford has lost the support of his teammates after publicly talking about leaving the club, as per The Sun. Rashford was left out of the Red Devils squad for the Manchester derby earlier this month despite carrying no injuries and subsequently hinted that he could be open to an exit.
The 27-year-old watched his teammates claim a 2-1 win over Manchester City before discussing his current situation with journalist Henry Winter.
“For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps," he said in the interview.
The comments have reportedly not gone down well with his club teammates, who believe he tried to overshadow their win over City by granting the interview. A club source told The Sun that the players were far from pleased with the forward, whose quiet nature meant he did not have many friends in the squad.
