Toronto Maple Leafs General Manager Brad Treliving gave an update on Auston Matthews' injury status before Tuesday’s game against the Ottawa Senators. Matthews, who has an upper-body injury, has missed the last three games. Treliving said he is "doubtful" for Tuesday, even though he returned to light skating on Saturday and Sunday.
Treliving added that he remains day-to-day, according to Terry Koshan of the Toronto Sun.
"We want to make sure we get ahead of it and hopefully get it behind us once and for all," Treliving said. "He will remain day to day. I would say he is doubtful for tomorrow, but he skated Saturday and Sunday so we’ll keep going down that path."
