Maxx Crosby is one of the best defensive players in the league today, known for being a master of the tackle for loss. He managed 17 of those, in addition to 7.5 sacks and 20 quarterback hits, before being shut down for the 2024 season with a foot injury. Amidst his Las Vegas Raiders' downward spiral, there has been speculation about his future.
On Sunday, he tweeted in support of divisional rivals and defending champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, leading fans to think he was going to request a trade.
On Tuesday, he further exacerbated the notion when speaking on his podcast "The Rush," listing a number of potential on-field reasons why he would want to leave:
"Years of inconsistency. New coaches every other year. New teammates. And there's been plenty of times where I'm like, "damn, like, this D line is cold," and then I come back and every single one of them is gone. It's like, 'What the f**k?'"
