Melbourne City have dropped six points in their last three matches after sharing the spoils with Auckland, Melbourne Victory and Central Coast Mariners. It didn’t help their course in the standings, as they remain stuck in the fifth spot on 15 points. With three straight home fixtures to honour, the hosts will hope to catch up.
City have been struggling to reach the top since their 2021 success when they won the premiership for the first time. Last season, they finished sixth and participated in the Finals Series but were knocked out in the elimination finals by Melbourne Victory. Melbourne City are yet to record a home win this season.
