Hall of Famer Keith Hernandez has urged Pete Alonso to re-sign with the New York Mets and form one of the deadliest trios in baseball alongside Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor.
There has been much speculation about the 30-year-old's future as he has not re-signed with his former team after entering free agency this year. While reports suggest that he is looking for a longer contract than what was offered, Hernandez believes that Alonso should sign with the Mets:
"The big question is, are they gonna sign Alonso? If they sign Alonso, and you've got [Francisco] Lindor, and you've got Pete as well as [Juan] Soto... they've got a very versatile roster as far as everyday players," Hernandez said on the 'Nothing Personal with David Samson' podcast.
