Micah Parsons makes feelings known about Cowboys potentially trading him in 2025 NFL offseason - Source: Imagn
Micah Parsons opened up about the possibility of the Cowboys trading him in the 2025 NFL season after their win against the Panthers in Week 15. The defender is due a new contract that is expected to pay him the best value in the market for his position. Given his importance to the Dallas defense, one would expect Jerry Jones to want to pay him what he wants.
However, the NFL has a salary cap and that complicates matters. The Cowboys have already given the largest contract in the history of the league to quarterback Dak Prescott. They followed that up with a mammoth contract for wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who is now one of the highest-paid players in his position.
Given how this season has gone for Dallas, they also need to rebuild for next year. They will have a chance to build through the draft but they also might need some veteran free agents with proven capability if they are looking for an immediate turnaround. That is what they missed this year, most notably by failing to bring Derrick Henry when they had the chance.
