“Mishandled the way I was let go”: EX-NHLer Tony DeAngelo gives honest opinion on Rangers exit

Tony DeAngelo is skating at ice rinks in Russia, playing for the Saint Petersburgh Hockey Club. However, not long ago, he was battling it out in the NHL, with his most memorable time coming during his four seasons with the New York Rangers.

DeAngelo suited up for the Rangers in 167 games, earning 92 points, including 19 goals. The defenseman had a decent 2019-20 season, playing 68 games for the team.

In the 2020-21 season, Tony DeAngelo was given a warning for his unsportsmanlike conduct on Opening Night. In February of that season, he was put on waivers by the club for an altercation with goaltender Alexandar Georgiev after an overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

On X, in response to DeAngelo commenting on Rangers' Vincent Trochek's play in Friday's game against the Penguins, a user asked why the 29-year-old was still invested in the team after being treated poorly by the organization. DeAngelo shared how he felt about the situation on Saturday:
