Everything major that happened at the 2024 Winter Meetings
Juan Soto and Willy Adames officially sign
Juan Soto and Willy Adames, arguably the top two hitters available, were technically off the market by the time the winter meetings began. Adames signed a seven-year $182 million deal with the San Francisco Giants.
On the eve of the meetings, Soto inked a 15-year $765 million contract with the New York Mets. However, neither was made official until the meetings, so they finally went off the market for good. The Giants know well what it's like to agree to a blockbuster signing but have it fall through thanks to Carlos Correa, but both signings are official.
