Mookie Betts gets brutally honest about infamous hand-grab incident with Yankees fans - Source: Imagn
Mookie Betts was all smiles when recalling an incident he had with a couple of New York Yankees fans in right field during the World Series. Two months after the confrontation, Betts spoke about the anger and frustration he suppressed due to the bigger goal ahead.
During Game 4 of the World Series at Yankee Stadium, Betts made a play in right field to catch Gleyber Torres' fly ball in the first inning. When he caught it, two fans seated there in Yankees jerseys tried to take the ball out of his hand by grabbing the outfielder's glove, which could have resulted in an injury at a crucial stage.
Though Betts didn't show much emotion on the field that day and let the authorities handle it, he held back nothing when recalling the incident on a podcast with Kevin Hart.
