MLB analyst Ryan Finkelstein believes Jurickson Profar could be a more realistic option for the New York Mets than other free agents who could demand lucrative deals. The 31-year-old outfielder entered free agency after coming off a career year with the San Diego Padres and remains a viable option for any team looking for a DH.
"Jurickson Profar is a free agent... The reality is, Jurickson Profar has had two good seasons really in his career, 2022 with the Padres and 2024 with the Padres," Finklestein said on the "Locked On Mets" podcast.
"He is coming off and All-Star season, he turns 32 years old in February, just won a Silver Slugger, he's a switch hitter that hit .280, got on base with a .380, slugged at a .459, 24 home runs, 85 RBIs.
