NFL analyst calls out Jonathan Taylor’s “idiotic” game-changing mistake against Broncos - Getty
Colts running back Jonathan Taylor has received plenty of praise for his work between the tackles since joining the NFL. However, a mistake against the Denver Broncos in Week 15 sparked what might be the most backlash of his career. In a breakaway run to the endzone, Taylor accidentally dropped the ball to celebrate before crossing the goalline. The result was a touchback, giving Denver the ball as if the run never took place.
The rule is controversial, but the mistake itself was worse. NFL analyst Mike Florio expressed this on Monday's edition of "Pro Football Talk," comparing the touchback rule to North Korea and throwing "Jon" Taylor's name in the middle of Kim Jung Un.
