Nolan Arenado is enjoying his offseason learning martial arts. Yesterday, the 10x Gold Glove winner shared a training video of hitting the heavy bag via his Instagram story. In the video, the 8x All-Star showcased Muay Thai skills, which he learned under the tutelage of Todd Aimer, a 26-year veteran in Mixed Martial Arts.
In the story, Arenado showed a crips one-two punch to begin the session, in an orthodox stance. Afterward, he threw a right perpendicular elbow shot, followed by a couple of horizontal ones from both hands. He finished the combination with a rear knee, a front knee, and a rear roundhouse kick.

After a brief pause, Arenado continued, with a slightly different combination than the first. This time, the Cardinals superstar threw an elbow shot and a straight right hand after the horizontal elbows. Moreover, he only used a single knee, before finishing with a roundhouse kick.
