Perth Glory began the new season where they left it off last term. They finished bottom of the table in 2023–24 and are currently a place above the bottom position. They have won only one match out of 10, losing seven times and drawing twice, with five points on the board. The hosts have the worst goal difference in the table – minus 22.
The Glory have won the Premiership once in 2018-19 and have been runners-up for the Championship twice. Coach Alen Stajcic left the team by mutual consent ahead of the new season, but new manager David Zdrilic hasn’t been convincing. Perth Glory will relish the prospect of claiming their first home win of the season on Friday.
