Pete Alonso gets $90,000,000 offer from NL East team, per MLB insider - Source: Imagn
Pete Alonso isn't too far from signing a contract. According to Carlos Baerga, the New York Mets have offered Alonso a three-year, $90 million deal with annual opt-out options.
However, Alonso and his agent, Scott Boras, are reportedly looking for a deal upwards of $200 million. Baerga claimed that the NL East team is seeking to re-sign the first baseman on a short-term, high AAV deal rather than a long-term $200 million contract.
