PGA golfer Billy Horschel took to social media to react to the upsetting vandalism news at the St. Andrews golf course. The Tim Morris statue at the Old Course was the target of the vandalism as the golf club in his hand was broken off.
The incident took place on November 8. The bronze statue built in honor of the legendary Tim Morris was recently unveiled just before the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. His great-great-granddaughter Sheila Walker was present at the ribbon cutting ceremony. Within a month, the statue has attracted criminal activity.
Golf historian Roger McStravick had campaigned for the establishment of the statue. The Scotland native took to social media to share the details of the incident. US golfer Horschel reshared the post and wrote a heartfelt message regarding the matter.
