Roki Sasaki’s MLB Free Agency: Japanese sensation set to shake up the league with major signing expected by Jan. 23

With Juan Soto no longer on the free agent market, one of the most sought-after players available is Roki Sasaki. The young pitching phenom has officially been posted by his Japanese club, the Chiba Lotte Marines, and is available to be signed by any MLB club.

Sasaki's official signing window is open until Jan. 23; however, according to MLB insider Jon Morosi, it does not appear that he will be in any rush to accept a deal. While Sasaki could sign before the end of the 2024 international signing period on Dec. 15, Morosi believes that he will sometime between Jan. 15-23.
