Scottie Scheffler opens up on his deep bond with Robert McIntyre: “I think we were both just as passionate about winning the Ryder Cup”

Scottie Scheffler and Robert MacIntyre have a friendship that dates back to their amateur days. Despite being born on different sides of the Atlantic, they met at international events and their love of the Ryder Cup brought them closer together.

Speaking to The Scotsman in an interview published on Thursday, December 5, Scottie Scheffler opened up on how he and MacIntyre met. He also talked about the Scot as a person, labeling him as the "funny guy".

"When we played the [2017] Walker Cup, I think we were both just as passionate about winning the Ryder Cup. We have tremendous pride in our countries and the teams that we play for."
