Sergio Perez has issued a savage response as rumors of his retirement have surfaced once again during the break between Singapore and Austin. The Mexican driver has been on a sticky wicket at Red Bull because of his performances. He was even expected to lose his seat going into the summer break as reports suggested that he would be replaced by Daniel Ricciardo.
While the Australian did not replace the Mexican after the summer break and has himself been ousted from RB, F1 pundit Joe Saward claimed in a recent report that Sergio Perez's time with Red Bull could possibly end after the race in Mexico, where the driver would announce his retirement.
In his personal blog, the green notebook, Joe Saward said:
"One interesting rumor in Singapore was that Perez and Red Bull have worked out a plan that will see him announce his retirement in Mexico, giving him a more gentle exit than being fired and will be less painful for Red Bull sales in the Americas. This would give Red Bull the chance to shop around for a new driver in 2025."
