The Pittsburgh Penguins suffered a disappointing 7-1 loss to the Dallas Stars on Monday night at PPG Paints Arena. The Stars scored an incredible six goals in 12 shots in the opening period.
For the first time in their franchise history, the Penguins allowed six goals in the first period of a home game.
Captain Sidney Crosby was understandably not pleased with the team's performance.
"There's not much to say when it’s 6-0. You just got to play through it. You can't quit. You can't give up. We put ourselves in that position. We’ve got to keep playing and see what happens," Sidney Crosby told reporters after the game.
