Golf commentator Luke Elvy questioned the different kinds of treatment by the DP World Tour toward Tyrrell Hatton compared to other LIV golfers. Over the last two years, dozens of players from various golf series have joined the Saudi-backed LIV Golf. However, they have also faced consequences for their decision, as players were banned from playing on the PGA Tour, and the DP World Tour imposed fines on them.
Although LIV golfers can't compete on the PGA Tour, they still earned an opportunity to play on the European Tour. For this week’s season-concluding DP World Tour Championship, Tyrrell Hatton joined the stellar 50-player field and started with the first round on Thursday, November 14.
Hatton is enjoying his time playing in European Tour events after a successful stint on LIV Golf earlier this year. However, golf insider Luke Elvy recently shared his opinion on the kind of treatment other LIV golfers such as Sergio Garcia, Ian Poulter, and Lee Westwood received from the circuit compared to Tyrrell Hatton.
