Aaron Jones, 30, has been battling a season-long fumbling nightmare. His mother, Vurgess Jones, emerged as his harshest critic after his fourth consecutive game with ball security issues. With his father, Alvin Jones Sr., having passed away in 2021, his mother has stepped into a tough-love mentorship role.

"It's what I need, my mom being hard on me," Jones said on Sunday via the Minneapolis Star Tribune. "That was my dad for so many years. My dad's not here, so my mom took the role over without me asking her."
