New York Rangers forward Vincent Trocheck has responded to rumors that the team held a players-only meeting to discuss grievances with general manager Chris Drury.
The meeting was reportedly held following the Rangers' 3-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Sunday, as per NHL insider Emily Kaplan. Tensions are reportedly rising in the locker room as the team struggles to meet expectations, amid trading players like Kaapo Kakko and captain Jacob Trouba.
However, Trocheck denied that any meeting focused on frustration with Drury and his recent moves.
“If we have a closed-door meeting, with just the players, I think the last that we’d do is complain about our general manager,” Trocheck told the New York Post.
