Jonathan Kuminga opened up about his situation with the Golden State Warriors, being in and out of the starting lineup. Former NBA player and current Phoenix Suns announcer Eddie Johnson was critical of Kuminga, who claimed that players would "quit" in his situation.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Johnson shared a snippet of Kuminga's quote in an interview with NBC Sports Bay Area. The Warriors forward mentioned being mentally tough in other situations, so the struggles in his NBA career is barely nothing.
Johnson called out the young player for thinking that not all athletes go through tough situations being under the spotlight.
"Wrong. Jonathan a majority of Professional athletes go through frustration and suffer depression in regard to everything including playing time, injuries and frustration with how they are used. Welcome to the league," Johnson tweeted.
