Bernhard Langer celebrates after winning the Charles Schwab Cup Championship (Image via X@SchwabCupFinale)
On Sunday, November 10, Bernhard Langer claimed the Charles Schwab Cup Championship, beating Richard Green and Steven Alker by a one-stroke margin. He did it in style by making a winning birdie putt on the final hole to get out of trouble.
Langer entered the final round with a 54-hole lead and quickly extended the gap to five strokes after shooting a 30 on the front nine. However, three bogeys over the next eight holes put him in a tie with Alker and Green with just one hole to go. However, a clutch birdie putt on the final hole sealed the fate of the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in his favor.
