On Sunday, November 10, Austin Eckroat rallied from behind to claim the 2024 WWT Championship. He fired a low 63 to grab his second title on the PGA Tour, both coming this year.
Eckroat entered the final round one stroke behind the leaders. He started with two straight birdies before bogeying the third hole. After that, he went on a birdie spree, sinking nine of them in the next 14 holes before making another bogey on the 18th. He finished at 24-under, beating Justin Lower and Carson Young by one stroke.
The PGA Tour shared a clip on X where Eckroat can be seen waiting for the final group to finish. After his win is confirmed, he first hugs his dad and then goes outside to hug his wife, Sally. Following this, he takes some time to sign autographs for young fans.
