Charley Hull is trying to win the Aramco Team Series, which requires a little bit of luck. Golf is a game of technical skill, but there's also some luck involved in the outcome of a shot. Winning a tournament requires tremendous skill but it is not the only thing that plays a role. Hull experienced that again on Thursday morning.
The golfer lined up a putt and tapped it towards the cup. The ball rolled on a line until it hit a slight divot in the green and shifted just to the left of the cup. However, the ball was just close enough that gravity came to Hull's aid.
The ball had just enough momentum to fall over the side of the hole and give Hull another birdie on the day. During the front nine, the English golfer recorded four birdies and an eagle.
