Aston Martin F1 driver Fernando Alonso was not happy with Visa Cash App RB driver Liam Lawson and confronted him in the parc ferme after the Sprint race. The two-time world champion had a difficult Sprint Shootout as he could only manage P14 and finished ahead of the Kiwi.
The 43-year-old did not have the best of starts as he fell to P16 after Oscar Piastri and Liam Lawson went past him heading into Turn 1. However, after settling into the Sprint race, the Spaniard made his way and closed the gap to the RB of Lawson.
After making the lunge in Turn 13, after the DRS straight, Alonso was aggressively cut off by Lawson heading into Turn 14 which did not sit well with the former. The Aston Martin expressed his feelings about the move on his team radio and called the 22-year-old an "idiot" and eventually finished P17 with Lawson getting P15.
