Watford and Cardiff City face off in round 24 of the EFL Championship on Sunday
Watford and Cardiff City bring their schedule for 2024 to an end when they square off at the Vicarage Road on Sunday. The Hornets head into the weekend as one of just three sides yet to lose a home game in the EFL Championship this season and will be looking to extend this impressive run.
Watford turned in a resilient team display last time out when they fought back from behind to snatch a 2-1 victory over Portsmouth at Vicarage Road on Boxing Day.
This was an immediate response from the Hornets, who saw their six-game unbeaten run come to an end on December 21 when they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Burnley at Turf Moor.
With 37 points from 22 matches, Watford are currently sixth in the Championship table, one point above seventh-placed Middlesbrough just outside the playoff places.
