Former F1 driver Logan Sargeant recently took part in a private IndyCar test in hopes of getting into one of the teams' rosters for the 2025 season. This was the American's first IndyCar experience.
Ever since he was young, Sargeant molded his racing career to get into F1. He was able to do so in 2023 when he was hired by Williams. In his debut season, he struggled quite a lot but was able to score one point. Despite his frequent crashes and mishaps, the team's head, James Vowles, supported the American rookie and extended his contract till the end of 2024.
In 2024, however, his performance dipped even further, to a point where Williams took the hard decision to remove Sargeant from the seat mid-season and replace him with Franco Colapinto. After he departed from F1, Sargeant did not confirm anything about his future, but soon rumors flew that he was considering getting into IndyCar.
