Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has stated that his team got scoring chances against Bournemouth, but they were nervous to convert them. The Red Devils suffered a 3-0 defeat against Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Sunday, December 22.
United had seven shots on target and maintained 60% possession, compared to the Cherries' five shots on goal. Dean Huijsen scored Bournemouth's first goal of the match in the 29th minute with the help of an assist from Ryan Christie.
In the second half, Noussair Mazraoui fouled Justin Kluivert and conceded a penalty in the 60th minute. Kluivert doubled the Cherries' lead by converting the spot-kick (61'). Two minutes later, Antoine Semenyo made it 3-0, slotting home a cutback from the left byline by Dango Ouattara.
