On Wednesday, Johnny Gaudreau’s sister Katie shared a heartfelt Instagram post recounting one of her cherished memories with the late NHL star. It included a carousel of nostalgic photos featuring the siblings, Johnny’s wife Meredith and a few of their close friends.
Katie detailed the story from the summer night filled with laughter and chaos. She shared the incident at a bar in Princeton, New Jersey, where Johnny jokingly pretended to fight her.
The joke was misunderstood by the bouncer, who attempted to kick Johnny out. Katie went on to defend her brother immediately.
“My favorite memory ever. One summer night…. John, Mer, Devin, and I bought matching sweatshirts (John obviously bought). John pretended to fake fight me at The P @princetonavnj . The bouncer went to kick him out not knowing it was a joke,” she wrote.
