Gilbert Arenas calls for Joel Embiid & Paul George shutdown by 76ers - Source: Imagn
Paul George's debut season in Philadelphia hasn't exactly gone as 76ers fans and front office anticipated. On top of that, Joel Embiid continues to be in and out of the lineup with various injuries and load management. Both players have had their fair share of challenges, prompting former player Gilbert Arenas to give the 76ers bold advice on their best course of action.
On Friday's episode of his show, "The Gil's Arena," Arenas suggested the 76ers should shut Embiid and George down as their injury troubles won't help the team win a title this year.
"You should have cut the cord f***** weeks ago. Embiid, cut. Paul George, we'll see. If not get healthy. They're not going to help you win a championship this year. So, if they can't help you win a championship, shut them down."
